Item Description

Decorative glazed ceramic horse by Aldo Londi for the Italian manufactory Bitossi, from the iconic Rimini Blu collection of the 1960s. This piece stands out for its glossy glaze, featuring a deep range of blue tones enhanced with subtle green and yellow brushwork, as well as the distinctive incised patterns characteristic of Londi’s work.

Founded in 1871 near Florence, Bitossi is one of the great names in Italian ceramics and has collaborated with major designers such as Ettore Sottsass and Fornasetti. Aldo Londi (1911–2003), painter, sculptor, and ceramist, served as the company’s artistic director from 1946 to 1976. His creations have left a lasting mark on 20th-century Italian design.
