Venetian Silver Gilt Floral Mirrors c.1750

CHRIS HOLMES ANTIQUES
A rare pair of stunning deeply carved silver gilt Venetian mirrors c.1750.

Create perfect elegant symmetry in your interior with this fine pair of Venetian mirrors, deeply carved sectional wooden frames embellished with delicate linked floral and foliage garlands.

The combination of silver and gold leaf within the frames and the beautiful patination of their time-worn surfaces is charming.

The raised floral details have worn in parts revealing a gold silhouette of the garlands, adding another dimension which makes the frames really magical.

Each 18th Century frame houses a later foxed early 20th Century mirror glass.
