19th.c. Woolwork Embroidery c.1850.

COLLINGE ANTIQUES
Mid 19th.c. woolwork embroidery c.1850. Set within a decorative floral border is a scene of traditional Swiss rural life. A girl in traditional costume with chickens pecking around her feet stands before an impressive set of Alpine style buildings. Presented behind glass in a good crossbanded mahogany cushion frame. Slightly faded but very good condition.
Dimensions: width 29″, height 23″.

Owner Nicky Collinge runs Collinge Antiques, has been dealing in antiques for over 30 years.

They are based in a large warehouse showroom in Llandudno Junction, North Wales, where they have an extensive and ever changing stock of genuine antiques.

As well as furniture from Georgian to Edwardian periods, and a special interest in Welsh pieces, they regularly deal in clocks, barometers, glass, silver, mirrors, militaria, paintings, bronzes, porcelain and have even sold vintage motorbikes and tractors!
