Firstly I would like to introduce myself. I'm Andrew walker the man behind Desired Effect.

I sell a range of interesting things dating from the 17th century right through to the 21st century and beyond. I use the "would I buy that for my own home" method of buying. I believe that's what gives me the confidence in my stock.

I don't really have a set piece that i tend to go for. I have been buying antiques for around two years now and I'm always evolving in my taste but I always buy what I personally love.

I am based in Carlinghow Mills in the West Yorkshire market town of Batley about 7 miles south west of Leeds.

I have always had a keen eye for good design and I hope that shows through in my stock.
