P0293 An elegant pair of French turn-of-the-century mahogany bedside cupboards or nightstands, dating from circa 1900. Each cabinet is crowned with its original, beautifully veined marble top, positioned above a single drawer featuring satinwood crossbanding.
Below, the panelled cupboard doors displays a satinwood crossbanding and geometric chevron inlay, opening to reveal their rare and desirable original internal liners. The drawers and doors are fitted with brass knobs and are flanked by finely cast, decorative ormolu mounts. The cabinets are raised on elegant, slender turned legs that lend a light and graceful silhouette to the pair.
Exhibiting wonderful craftsmanship and classic French proportions, this antique pair has been sympathetically restored and is presented in home-ready condition with a rich, warm patina throughout.
