Item Description
An untouched early 19th century Chinoiserie chiffonier/buffet, a two door cupboard conceals a pair of pull out drawers with their original interior cream paint and a single hidden drawer above. Gilt columns and a decorative backing frieze. A later gilt half bull nose trim has been added to the hidden drawer bottom for ease of opening, can be easily removed if preferred. Has its original working key and lock to secure your rags, odds and ends.
Typical gilt chinoiserie decoration, foliage, figures and architecture. on a black ground. All round age related wear, some elderly ring marks on the counter. A beautiful and very useful piece of furniture
