Item Description

A fine-quality, elegant early 19th-century George III period three-tier mahogany whatnot. The rectangular top features three identical tiers, all crafted from solid mahogany. Below is a pair of ebony stringing drawers with ebony turned wooden knob handles, supported by tall, elegant turned columns and raised on stylish feet terminating in small brass casters. In excellent original condition, this mahogany display stand—be it a music stand, étagère, or whatnot—retains its original colour and warm patination. England, circa 1810.
