Item Description

A Rare Large Early 19th Century George III Period Mahogany Canterbury

Introducing a stunning, rare and high-quality early 19th-century late George III period mahogany Canterbury, also known as a magazine rack. This exquisite piece features seven solid mahogany divisions with simple slatted uprights, perfectly designed for organizing magazines, newspapers, or music sheets.
The front frieze is adorned with a deep mahogany oak-lined drawer, fitted with a pair of elegant brass ring handles. Supported by slender turned legs with original brass castors. Crafted in England around 1800, it remains in excellent condition, structurally sound, and showcases a beautiful warm patina that can only be achieved through age and meticulous care.
