Stunning Quality Large 19th Century William IV Period Green Leather Mahogany Library Armchair

A handsome and larger scale early 19th century William IV period green leather mahogany frame library armchair of generous proportions. The substantial, well-shaped frame features an upholstered back, and arms, all covered in the original green leather. The chair boasts scrolling arms, a deep buttoned seat, and close-nailed brass stud detailing. The chair stands on tall turned mahogany legs terminating on the original large brass castors. The frame is in good solid condition and the chair has a good seat height and is very comfortable to sit in and will give many years of good service. It is in superb condition with no damage or repairs. The chair seat height is 53cm. This armchair offers both comfort and aesthetic charm. The chair retains its original colour and patina, on the sides, seat, and back, ensuring it remains a standout piece in any setting.
This bergère or armchair is of a good large size, providing ample seating space and making it a striking addition to any library or living room.
In excellent condition, this magnificent armchair, crafted in England circa 1830, is not only a functional piece of furniture but also a stunning representation of late Georgian design.
