Item Description
A fun and evocative piece of folk art with this antique metal Top Hat which was likely originally created, by hand, as a promotional item for a hat shop and latterly added to a contemporary stand for display.
If I had to guess its age, I would say Edwardian era.
In good overall condition, it retains remnants of original paint decoration, but as this was probably an outdoor advertising prop, this would have naturally worn over time.
Now ideal as a Gentlemans desk or table ornament, it will certainly be a conversational piece.
Approx 55.5cm high overall. Hat itself 20.32cm high x 28cm wide x 30cm deep
