Item Description
An exceptional pair of early Art Nouveau wall lamps by Richard Evered & Sons. c.1900.
Crafted in solid brass and finished in bright nickel plate. The plating has mellowed beautifully over time, with areas of darker tarnish that bring depth and character to the surface.
Each arm is a small triumph of period design, flowing in a gentle organic curve that evokes the form of a tulip - a classic Art Nouveau motif. The lamps are complete with period vaseline glass shades, whose soft green glow complements the cool nickel perfectly. The maker’s mark is embossed to the rear of each wall plate.
A rare and highly decorative pair from a respected maker. Price is for the pair.
Rewired to connect to mains.
