Beautifully formed 10" 'Reflector-Refractor' pendant light made by Holophane. c.1920.
Two-part prismatic glass pendant light supported by the original copper gallery stamped with the makers mark. Holophane were pioneers of prismatic glass lighting from the late 19th century onward, developing their signature ‘Reflector-Refractor’ system to control and soften light with remarkable efficiency. By the 1920s their fittings were widely used in industrial, civic, and ecclesiastical settings, prized for both performance and durability - qualities clearly reflected in this surviving pair. All glass parts stamped Holophane. Price is per light.
