Item Description
Large 19th century French Zinc 'Hotte' or Grape Carrier. They were worn on the grape pickers' backs when bringing in the grape harvest. This one is in good condition and is painted a fabulous Green with black stenciled growers identifying marks on it. A real bit of Vineyard history with many uses around the house (e.g.for Logs) or in the garden (e.g. for garden tools or as a planter. GREEN is CLEAN! Circa 1880
