Item Description
A really wonderful and rare, pair of early 19th century, Regency period, officer or captains sea chests. Constructed in beautifully patinated teak, with gilt brass hardware and bold, rope tied carrying handles to the sides.
Unlike most campaign furniture, these chests were never meant to be stacked, there are no location lugs or traces of feet, also the drawers are not flush, or the sides plain, so would not have been transported in shipping crates.
