Chic Modern Oak Sideboard With Geometric Panel Doors, 1960S

Impressive large Belgian vintage sideboard, crafted in richly grained dark-stained oak and dating from approximately the 1970s. The substantial proportions and strongly architectural façade give this piece a distinctive Brutalist / Belgian modernist character.

The front is defined by three large doors, each decorated with deeply layered geometric panels creating a striking three-dimensional effect. Small brass-tone decorative fittings provide an elegant contrast against the dark oak.

A particularly attractive detail is the top, finished with a checkerboard arrangement of oak sections with alternating grain direction, framed by a solid wood border. The cabinet stands on angular splayed legs connected by a long lower stretcher, giving the substantial piece a lighter and more sculptural appearance.
With its generous storage capacity and strong graphic presence, this sideboard works beautifully in a contemporary interior as a statement credenza, dining-room cabinet or living-room storage piece.
