Pair Of Deknudt Mirrored Pedestals / Plinths In Gilt Finish, Belgium

Elegant pair of vintage mirrored pedestal columns by Deknudt, Belgium, dating from circa the 1980s.

Each plinth features tall mirrored sides combined with richly textured gilt-finished architectural bases and capitals. The stepped mouldings and warm aged-gold finish give the pair a glamorous Hollywood Regency / Neoclassical character.

The square tops are mirrored as well, making them particularly attractive as display pedestals for sculptures, ceramics, lamps, plants or decorative objects.

An especially versatile feature of this pair is that they can also be used together as the supports for a console table. By positioning the two pedestals apart and adding a glass top, they create an impressive mirrored console with a luxurious architectural appearance. The photographs illustrate this possibility; the plinths themselves are also beautiful used separately.

CONDITION
