A Super Quality Open Bookcase C1930 Gordon Russell
A super quality open bookcase one of which was very, very similar to a Gordon Russell piece we sold last year. This one certainly hits the Russell workshop on design, build and quality however no makers mark.
Well proportioned in size, this one sits very nicely with its 4 fixed shelves, inverted plinth, attractive thumbnail profile to the top and overall nicely aged condition. The bookcase is weighty for its size being solid timber and is ready for placing after a light wax in our workshop. Expect a well cared for piece with sensible ageing.
