An Eric Lyons armchair in the modernist style, in fact we have 2. Wonderful steamed bentwood frames with some lovely curves and contours.

The Tecta chair dates from the end of the Utility period and demonstrates awareness of the flowing lines of much contemporary continental furniture, particularly Scandinavian and Italian. It outlasted the Utility scheme, when its manufacture was taken over by E.E.Kahn and Co. Ltd., of Great Yarmouth. A couple of Packet Furniture Chairs are listed by the VA.

The steamed bentwood frame sits firm with day to day marks but nothing nasty or off putting. The seats are soft and lumpy and the striped upholstery is worn in areas but usable if you so wish. Our upholster would be happy to re-upholster and add new filling for £335 plus VAT per chair. You will require approx 2 to 3 metres of fabric per chair. We are happy to assist in the scouring of fabric including knowledgeable advice and supply of a variety of swatches - the choice is endless. The last image shows one finished for a client.

When purchasing from us we include delivery in the purchase price which is based on a one person delivery for England and Wales. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, The Isles and for World-wide shipping.
For any large items that require two people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item. We are happy to quote for a two person delivery if required.
