Unusual Mid Century Faux Bamboo Pedestal Desk
We have a wonderful faux bamboo and herringbone woven twin pedestal desk C1970. We love the look of this one and have not not seen another like it before, it's going to look truly fabulous in its new home.
The spec takes its design from the classic desks of the 1930s with a flight of drawers either side of a long middle drawer. That's where the 30s inspiration comes to an end. We have a glass covered herringbone pattern woven top edged with thick faux bamboo, original angular brass mid century inspired handles to all drawers, bamboo framing to the edges of the desk and drawers and an inverted base again edged with faux bamboo. Altogether a fabulous looking Mid Century desk which looks good from all angles.
Condition is good - we have light sensible wear all around but nothing off putting. The glass top is crack free and we have ensured the desk is ready for placing.
