Mid Century Unix Solid Oak Cabinet C1960 We Have Two
We have a Unix oak modular cabinet retailed by the Phoenix Gallery of St. Martins Lane, Charing Cross, London. Unix were fortunate to be chosen for The Festival of Britain South Bank Exhibition. The little ivorine Unix label is inside the top cabinet with the Phoenix Gallery paper delivery label attached to the rear of the base.
The design is perfect and effortless in looks - we have 3 oak sections, all with two sliding glass doors which will fit records perfectly. The Unix units on this one separate into 3 and a base for easier moving and placing. The cabinet has been cleaned and repolished in our workshop so we have sensible wear to the well toned oak. We have a very small chip to one of the doors which you do not see when closed and a small sliver to the back side of one of the sections again historic and not particularly noticeable. Both cabinets are the same in configuration and scale.
