A fine example of the breed, the painting is set under protective glass in its original traditional wooden frame, later painted black. The framed piece measures 40 cm high x 46 cm wide x 4 cm deep — a perfect size for display.

Signed by renowned British animal artist Edward Aistrop, this work exemplifies his remarkable talent for capturing the spirit and character of dogs. Aistrop, active during the late Victorian era (1880–1920), was celebrated for his animal portraits, especially of champion pets and hunting scenes.
