Item Description
Beautiful 18th.c. oak Welsh potboard dresser base, Montgomeryshire c.1780. Two plank top with an applied bead to form a plate stand (could be removed if preferred) over three drawers. Cockbeaded drawer fronts with brass knobs, heavy oak drawer linings. Lovely ogee arch shaped apron below the drawers, also with a cockbeaded edge. Raised on short turned column front legs joined with a low potboard display shelf with the original oak boards running front to back. Moulded trim and bracket feet to the front. Oak sides and back board. Particularly good colour and grain to the timbers. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
