Item Description
Very handsome Regency era mahogany scroll end couch or settee c.1820. Curving top rail veneered in flame mahogany with carved detail. Over a padded backest, raised ends and a sprung seat all upholstered in a well chosen Regency stripe fabric. Flame mahogany front with turned roundels, carved flower heads and a central motif of scrolling acanthus to the bottom edge of the apron. Raised on splendid Classical Egyptian inspired paw feet. Very good colour and condition, with clean and serviceable upholstery.
