Item Description
Delightful little 16th.c. style carved oak six plank chest or box stool. Attributed to the celebrated 20th.c. makers G.T Rackstraw of Worcester. Excellent quality, in solid oak throughout, sturdy enough to use as a hall or window seat. Over-hanging top with a moulded edge opening on long iron hinges to reveal storage space inside. Decorative carved front with three Gothic tri-corn leaf or flower head designs often found on Rackstraw pieces. Shaped ends set at an angle for stability. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
