Item Description
Sweet little early 19th.c. Welsh dresser base South Wales c.1810. Unusual small size, just 59" wide. Top made of three oak boards with an applied bead to form a plate stand (can be removed if preferred) and an unusual mahogany crossbanded edge. Over three larger drawers and two small knife drawers (the small drawer at the middle being a dummy drawer front). With cockbeaded edges to the drawer fronts and simple Georgian pattern brass handles. Double arch apron to the front, also with a cockbeaded edge. Raised on three turned front legs joined to the straight rear stiles with a potboard display shelf with oak boards and rails. Solid oak sides, pine drawer linings and back board. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
