Item Description
Early 19th.c. Welsh oak cwpwrdd gwydr or glass cupboard from North Wales (possibly Anglesey) c.1820. Constructed in two pieces. Glazed two door top fitted with two shelves (depth 10") over three small 'spice' drawers, quite an unusual feature. Deeper and wider base section with two drawers over a two door cupboard with a single shelf inside (depth 15"). Simple design with an angled cornice, repeated in the shape of the glazing bars and on the inner edge of the doors surrounding the panels. Inlaid fruitwood escutcheons top and bottom. Good quality brass knobs and handles. Raised on shaped bracket feet. Pine sides and backboards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
