Item Description

Early 19th.c. North Wales oak cloak or tack cupboard c.1820. Two door cupboard top (internal depth 16″) fitted inside with 16 wooden hooks for hanging coats etc. Separate base with two short and one long drawer (the top row of drawers being dummy fronts allowing extra hanging length inside the top). Flared cornice over flat panels to the doors and the fixed centre with moulded mahogany surrounds. Bone inlaid escutcheons and brass knobs to the doors and drawers. Deal panelled sides (with original 'scumbled' finish) and rear. Shaped brackets to the front feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied. Could be fitted with a hanging rail or shelves inside if preferred.
