Item Description
The beautifully patinated trio of graduating slate vases, of brutalist influence, each being of rectangular form with unfinished irregular mouth rims and chamfered edges, the wholes with burnished bronzed finishes and surviving from the middle of the twentieth century.
In very good condition, there are no flaws to note.
Brutalism is a style with an emphasis on materials, textures and construction, producing highly expressive forms. Brutalist art, while related to the architectural style, has its own distinct characteristics. It often features bold, geometric forms, a focus on raw materials like concrete and exposed textures, and a monochromatic colour palette.
A striking set with a raw quality which blend seamlessly into both traditional or modern settings.
