Item Description
Stunning antique French gilt cushion mirror in superb condition.
It dates from around 1800.
It has its ornate gilt on gesso frame with a huge amount of floral detail.
It has its original bevelled mercury glass. Mercury glass was not made after 1800 and has a wonderful sparkle. It was the glass used in the Palace of Versailles. It is unusual to find bevelled mercury glass. All the panes are original.
Dimensions exclude the wooden batons at the bottom to prevent it getting damaged. These are an additional 5cm and could be removed if hung on a wall.
