Item Description
Circa 1770. A George III mahogany folding towel rail (very similar to the one supplied to Dumfries House, made by 'Thomas Chippendale in 1759. ' The
thin spider leg towel rails of two sections with each corner surmounted by a circular finial, the four turned rails supported on similar uprights, hinged in two locations with the tenon joints showing at the end of each section, all resting on elegant turned legs.
