Circa 1870 (with alterations). Pair of Mid-Victorian tall mahogany open bookcases. Surmounted by classical moulded cornices and figured mahogany friezes, the open bookcases each with four adjustable shelves, flanked by simple mahogany pilasters and sitting on enclosed plinth bases. Nice mellow colour and in excellent condition. Attractive, simple design and functional – would suit a contemporary or traditional setting.
