Item Description
Circa 1830. Superb quality, fully dismantlable William IV flame mahogany wardrobe made by famous cabinetmakers S & H Jewell, High Holborn, London. Surmounted by an architectural cornice with offset rounded corners, the two panelled doors in flame mahogany with Large, unusual brass locks, fluted mouldings and separated by a neoclassical fluted column. The interior with hanging space (could have double shorter hanging) and crosscut oak ,backboards and carcass. The wardrobe with offset rounded corners and sitting on a moulded enclosed plinth base. Rare for an English wardrobe it is fully dismantlable (i.e., "Flatpacks").
