Item Description

This lovely saddle stand was made by G Clarke & Sons in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, England in the early 1900s and still has it's maker's stamp and original paint.

The top can be unclipped and the supported leaves turn it into a table. Please take a look at all our photos to see how the table looks in all formats.

The height of the table when folded is 94cm, when it's unclipped the height is 74cm and the width is 73cm. (Length 122cm.)

A decorative and practical antique. Perfect for a tack room, a work table for in the home, or a display piece in a shop/bar.

The business operated until 1922, when Pugh & Son - one of the oldest private businesses in the town - acquired it from John Clarke. Pugh & Son was established in 1780 and still has a shop today selling country and outdoor clothes and equipment.

Leicestershire is a large farming county in the middle of England with a long equestrian history.
