This is an antique vanity mirror. An English, mahogany and glass hall, bedroom or morning room mirror, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1780.

  • Appealingly presented Georgian mirror, with a striking show frame
  • Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
  • Fine stocks present superb grain interest and rich caramel hues
  • Original mirror plate with a lightly foxed finish and bright reflection
  • Upper and lower aprons express superb shape, with scrolled motif
  • Pierced fretwork medallion to the upper fascia enhanced with gilt finish
  • Mirror's edge accentuated with a filleted gilt border in a chased pattern
