Item Description
This impressive breakfront bookcase is crafted in a beautiful golden oak and features six panelled pin doors (three glazed above, three solid below) all with working keys, and a large secretaire drawer.
The upper section offers nine height-adjustable shelves behind beautifully arched glazed doors, flanked by finely carved corbels.
The secretaire drawer opens to reveal a black leather writing surface, an arrangement of pigeon holes, and nine satinwood drawers, all of fine dovetailed construction. With working lock and key and lovely carved handles.
The whole bookcase is in superb condition, with a striking presence.
This is a large, high-quality and very heavy piece, but it can be taken apart for transport: cornice, three top sections, base, and plinth separate.
A truly impressive example with a lovely, warm colour—perfect for a grand study, library, or period interior.
