An exceptional Early Victorian tilt-top centre table dating to circa 1840, crafted from beautifully figured mahogany.
The circular top displays a striking radial veneer sunburst pattern. The top sits on a traditional tilting mechanism, allowing the top to be raised vertically for convenient storage.
The table stands on a substantial and highly decorative tri-form base, featuring bold hand-carved scroll details and elegant cabriole legs, terminating in original brass castors for ease of movement.
Both decorative and functional, this is a striking and timeless piece of period furniture.
Excellent antique condition with a rich, well-preserved patina consistent with age.
