Item Description

Late 19th century Dutch black & gilt japanned low etagere with ornate carrying handles.

Delivery is INCLUDED in the price for all areas in MAINLAND England & Wales.

The lobed table tops are ornately embellished with chinoiserie scenes incorporating birds, trellis and floral decoration, standing on shaped supports and legs.

The table has plenty of signs of use to the finish, mainly to the top table, where the chinoiserie has loss showing the red bole, I feel this does not detract from the overall appearance, adding to its character.

A very decorative and usable piece of furniture. It is sturdy with no loose joints. Due to the design there is some slight movement. One of the legs has been re-glued at some time in the past, this is solid.
