Item Description

19th century cast iron garden/conservatory rectangular table base. English, circa 1870. Stamped 'Cobden Table' along with a patent number.

A very well cast table base, depicting Britannia on each end between scrolls, with keyhole piercings below. The central stretcher having blind quatrefoil detail. The table's finish is in used condition.

The table base is very sturdy. There are remnants of a gold underpaint. There has been a weld to the top of the frame.
