Item Description
Arts & Crafts rocking chair attributed to William Birch for Liberty & Co. Circa 1900.
The chair is made of stained beechwood with a high ladder back design.
The rocking chair is in very good condition, showing some light signs of use, and has been waxed. The seat has been reupholstered and the original horse hair has has been kept, with Dacron added over. Covered in a natural fabric.
There is a hairline to one of the arm joins, this is minimal - please refer to the photographs - and the chair is very usable. The original pegged screw from the back of the arm is present, so holds well. A very small amount of woodworm to one upright, as shown. This has been treated with a woodworm killer as a precaution and filled.
Delivery included to mainland England, Wales and southern Scotland.
