Pair of Art Deco walnut bedside cabinets. Circa 1930.

Showing classic bold geometric lines and symmetrical design, characteristic of the Art Deco movement. Predominantly featuring richly figured walnut book match veneers to the tops, doors and drawers, with contrasting maple handles. The sides have simulated walnut decoration. The whole resting on solid wood plinths.

In very good condition, they have been refinished at some time in the past, and since been well looked after. We have waxed the cabinets, and they have a good even shine and warm tone. There are some light marks and knocks in places. There have been some small filled areas to the top edge in places, please refer to photographs. The veneer to the bottom of two of the drawers shows some woodworm, but this originates from before the veneer was originally cut. It has been washed over with treatment as a precaution.

Each cabinet features a spacious interior behind a single door, paired with two practical drawers to the side, offering both elegance and functionality. These cabinets are ideal as nightstands, end tables, or accent storage pieces in a refined interior.

The drawers and doors all work well. The inside spaces do show marks and signs of use in places.
