Item Description
Elegant silvered bronze chandelier probably early 20th C in the manner of Andre Charles Boulle French maker 1642-1732
Eight spreading arms measuring nearly 90 cms across and a shorted drop 66 ms making this chandelier ideal for low ceilings in larger rooms.
Beautifully cast it is currently un-wired but could have either card tubes as shown or electric candles ( additional cost )
Silvered chain and a comp ceiling plate are provided ( I metre )
This chandelier is heavy 20-25 kilos
Boulle created numerous pieces of furniture in bronze and marquetry, making him the earliest great cabinetmaker of 17th and 18th-century French furniture. The lavishness and creativity of his furniture helped build Versailles’s reputation in this respect.
