Item Description
Tall, narrow, antique French mirror, circa 1840, with narrow, outcurving, watergilt frame decorated with a row of beading along the sight edge. The gilding continues around the outside edge of the frame so the mirror looks just as good from the side. The original, mercury glass has a little wispy age and a lot of sparkles, at the very top and very bottom of the mirror but gives an excellent reflection. In France these mirrors are called "entre deux" as they were often placed between two tall windows but we now find them very useful as a full-length mirror although this mirror could also be hung horizontally, if required.
