Item Description
This cushion is very special. It is made from one half of a Miao festival collar and is hand stitched applique and fine embroidery. It would have taken well over a year to make. The pattern depicts a map of the 5,000 year old Capital Chisou which was the home of the Miao's ancestors. I've backed the cushion with a vintage handloomed claret and blue checked textile from the Songjiang area of Shanghai which was a reknown textile district. I think the colour works beautifully with the yellow and red of the collar. There is a zip fastener and feather pad.
