Item Description
This exquisite long cushion is made from a vintage Swat shawl. The shawl is a madder coloured silk embroidery on a ground textile of hand spun and hand loomed cotton. There are accents of green silk outlining the red pattern. I've backed the cushion with a cotton textile from Java, also hand loomed with hand spun yarn in a caramel coloured basket weave. The cushion has a zip fastener and deluxe feather insert. Its a one off. The Swat embroideries tend to be in bright pink or red colours so i was very excited to get this madder colour.
