Item Description
A beautiful French commode. Like all the commodes we find only ever chosen for their beautiful burr veneers and richness of colour together with their condition. This one is no exception. The drawers are made from solid oak, all fit well and run smoothly. Exquisite walnut veneers decorate the front of this pretty commode having been carefully matched to create a unique pattern from top to bottom. The original grey marble top sits above a long slender drawer with a further three deep drawers below all housed within a strong sturdy carcass. The carcass is structurally sound with no splits or damage. The whole piece is slightly raised on neat bracket feet to the front with square to the back. French walnut commode. There is a key to each drawer for opening. Circa 1880.
