Item Description
This handsome 19th century French server started life a little deeper in size but has recently been narrowed down just a little making it much easier to place within the home. It still boasts all the use, charm and character of its larger self but on a more practical scale. The top consists of three dense solid chestnut timbers which have seasoned to the most gorgeous rich colour over the past century and more. Below are a run of three useful deep drawers, each drawer with its original heavy cast brass handle. The whole piece stands on four solid chestnut legs with neat chamfered detail. The smart polished back has panelled detailing making it a pleasure to view from both sides. French chestnut server circa 1880 reduced in depth.
