G Plan large late 1950’s oak and chinese white chest of drawers Stylish and really well made these large G Plan chests provide a lot of storage and we think are still great value. In the late 1950’s produced a number of ranges all of the same basic design but in different finishes and handles . We think this mix of light oak and what G Plan called Chinese White is the nicest of the versions available. G Plan used traditional cabinetmaking techniques to a really good standard in the 1950’s and 1960’s . At a time when most buyers bought a traditional bedroom suite with 2 wardrobes, dressing table and a bed it was an expensive extra to buy such a large chest of drawers and they were the only maker to produce one as large as this model. ConditionIn good vintage condition with no really obvious marks, scratches or damage. As with all vintage pieces you do have to expect to see some minor signs of wear if you look closely.
