Decorated in blue on a pale blue ground, this early 19th-century Delft jar features Chinoiserie-inspired scenes of oversized flowers and shrubs beside lakes, framed in reserves and surrounded by floral patterns. Flowing vertical brushstrokes accent the base, while the neck is adorned with graceful scrolls. Of elegant baluster form, the jar is completed by a domed lid decorated with similar intricate floral motifs and scrolls. A timeless piece, distinguished by its harmonious shape and refined decoration.
