Item Description
A French midcentury oil on board depicting a hilly landscape with a bridge at sunset, surrounded by rocks and bushes. The architectural geometry of the bridge contrasts with the irregular forms of the rocks and vegetation, while a figure crossing against the sky adds a compelling narrative element. The palette of purples and pinks, set against deep greens and browns, creates a dreamlike atmosphere. Signed lower right and presented in a period Montparnasse frame.
A small work of strong composition and evocative colour.
- Framed dimensions: 24.5 x 30 cm
- Painting dimensions: 18.5 x 24 cm
