Item Description
This 1950s French faience tulipiere from Quimper is decorated in a vibrant and unusual palette of blue, green, orange, and purple. The body is covered with radiating abstract brushstrokes arranged in geometric shapes, set against intricate wavy patterns in blue on one side, and larger, lighter shapes on the other. The piedouche and sides are adorned with lively spongeware motifs in blue on an orange ground. With a classic tulipiere form and generous scale, it features four openings at the top for displaying cut flowers. In excellent condition, a distinctive piece with vivid colours and dynamic, engaging decoration.
